Education Background

BA Degree and above (major in education preferred)

Teaching Experience

Minimum 1 year and above communication or Business English teaching experience

Tefl / Tesol Required


Additional Requirement

Has formal training and/or classroom experience in teaching language skills in an English environment.

Applicants with artistic skills preferred.

Alexandra has lived in various parts of America including California, Arkansas, Virginia, and Missouri. She studied Animation and Art History in college, and subsequently received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, Missouri. She has a great love for art, literature, and culture, especially that of Ancient China.

She has always had a passion for languages having studied Spanish diligently for many years and she is now attempting to learn Mandarin. Having discovered a love of teaching in college, she pursued and completed a TESOL certification program in Xiaoshan, China, through TEFL International and is now a happy member of the GLV family.

Mark Lee  UK

Mark Lee is from south England and was educated in Portsmouth and Bristol. After completing his schooling he moved to various places around the UK in search of different careers, from labourer to management.

Mark's passion for teaching and the Asian culture started in Bangkok where he began working with deaf and mute children of Thailand. Sign Language is a hobby he still pursues today. In his free time Mark enjoys scuba diving, logic puzzles and I.T. His aim for GLV and China is to make a positive difference to as many lives as possible.

Kevin Brown, native of the United States, has a strong passion for international travel and culture. He has lived, worked, and traveled to many countries throughout North America, the Caribbean, Europe, North Africa, Australia, Southeast Asia, and now, China. His university studies, focusing on marketing and management in the hospitality industry, have given him a keen eye for business and he enjoys using his leadership skills and creativity to help others reach their business and career goals.

Working at GLV gives Kevin the opportunity to share his knowledge and experiences with a wide variety of people. When not at work, you will find Kevin preparing for another journey to discover the history, culture, and surprises that China has to offer.
