Shenzhen & Guangzhou
Shenzhen, in southeastern China, is a modern metropolis that links Hong Kong to China’s mainland. It's known for its shopping destinations. Shenzhen is now China's wealthiest city, with it easy to obtain pretty much anything you need from Western food to king size sheets. There is no shortage of things to do, including networking opportunities, sports clubs, and general meetups based on various interests.
Rest assured, Shenzhen has some of the best air in the country and its location next to the ocean ensures that there is ample breeze with which to blow the dirty stuff out of the city.
Guangzhou, one of China’s most exciting cities thanks to its melting pot of Chinese cultures, delicious food and groovy vibe. Guangzhou is a city of intrigue—there are many layers to discover. From the underground arts scene to some of the country’s biggest city parks, there is no shortage of places to explore.
Guangzhou has one the lowest costs of living in any of China’s major cities. Apartments here are brand-new but cheap; dining out costs a fraction of what it could cost back home; and transportation is inexpensive.
